Scheduler & snapshots
Snapshots freeze your objectives, key-result progress and initiatives at a point in time, so a retro can compare against what the plan actually was.
Create a schedule
Open Scheduler in the left rail and add any number of schedules: every N days, weeks, months, quarters or years, from a start date. Each run snapshots the schedule owner and their direct reports, and the schedule’s log lists every snapshot.
When snapshots run
- By an in-process ticker every 5 minutes.
- When the Scheduler panel opens, to catch up on anything due.
- Via
POST /api/cron/snapshotsfrom an external scheduler.
The ticker needs a long-running Node server (npm start or the okr-ai command). On a platform that sleeps idle processes, use the cron endpoint instead.
External cron
Set CRON_SECRET and call the endpoint on any schedule you like:
$ curl -X POST https://okr.example.com/api/cron/snapshots \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $CRON_SECRET"
